Lipectomy

Surgical procedure for men and women used to cut and removed unwanted fat skin excess on the abdomen and treat muscles to improve contour. The surgeon makes an incision along the lower abdominal level from hip to hip which is hidden inside the swimming suit or underwear.

Usually this liposuction is performed to mold waist and back unless patients have an important overweight which is contraindicated. A new navel is not created; it is the same patient’s navel, only it has a small change of form.

This surgery is performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately 3 to 4 hours, which can be ambulatory or stay the first night in the clinic, depending o each case. It has a recovery of 2 to 3 weeks.
