With the years passing we face to the gravity effects over the face tissues, the progressive contraction of the tissues and the decrease of fat quantity.

This effect makes the face lose definition and volume and obviously favoring the ageing process as this is not only evident for the wrinkles presence.

Injecting our own fat in the face is an excellent option to recover the volume lost and generally it is used in the check bones, cheeks, eyebrows edge, naso-genians wrinkles, lips, and chin. A small percentage of injected fat can be reabsorbed which depends on each patient and also in a proper fat infiltration technique (for this technique exist a special lipo-injection equipment and a centrifugation equipment that would assure a more purified technique)

Lipo-injection can be performed in a procedure’s room in an ambulatory way and with local anesthesia, or with a rejuvenating surgery with general anesthesia.

Generally, this fat can be obtained from a fat deposit in some small area (ideally, from the low abdomen or from the crotch) or if you are going to perform a liposuction it could be used a part of the extracted fat.

In the postoperative, it can be observed a slight edema that could last for a week, rarely bruises could stay but also it would disappear rapidly.
