........• Ear Surgery (Otoplasty)

Some patients present a major ear separation in relation with the skull which we call “screen ears”. This characteristic is observed in children and can be corrected around the age of six as is the age when the children start having self-esteem problems and victims of cruel nicknames at school.

Surgery consists in a small incision in the back part of the ear where part of the prominent cartilage dries and some points are placed to recreate a more natural form of the ear.

The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia or sedation; it is ambulatory and takes 2 hours. We recommend a recovery of 4 days to return to daily activities following the specialist recommendations.
